Beginners Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Course

Tuesdays 7.45pm- 8.45pm

Starting November 5th, 2019

In this 10 weeks beginners course you will learn the basics and foundations of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. This style of yoga is a moving meditation. You will learn to move through the sun salutations influenced by breath focus, standing postures, finishing postures and the ultimate posture of relaxation. We recommend signing up to a beginners course to experience the full benefits of a yoga practice. If you cannot commit to the full we recommend 1-2-1 sessions with a yoga teacher so you feel the benefits of practicing yoga.

Classes are not transferable to another class or the next yoga term.
Please arrive at least 5 mins before class starts to quiet and calm your mind.

This is a whole and rounded practice of health & well-being.
This is a yoga you will move to the sound of your own breath. You will stretch, bend, flex, fold and arch to align and strengthen your physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual bodies.

You will learn focus and breathing techniques to strengthen and heal your body from the inside out.

The benefits come with a dedicated practice. They are a calm mind and a light lean body that is healthy from the inside out.

    Training with Ali Dashti

    Studio owner Eva Paterson recently attended an Iyengar training weekend with renowned instructor Ali Dashti. Ali trained with BKS Iyengar for many years and is featured in multiple Iyengar published books. He is also an author in his own right.

    The training focussed on alignment (as always!), using tools and props to ensure students know what we mean. The teachers only day featured extensive work on the groins and hips. This will quickly become incorporated into classes and will most likely feature at this years Lendrick Lodge retreat in June.
