This is an ideal time to begin a yoga practice as it offers so many benefits to such a young and great age. Benefits such as focus, discipline, breathing techniques, strength in body and mind, flexibility in body and mind. It keeps the physical body lean and light and the mind calm and clear. There is a fine balance of body movement and relaxation to mind control and calming.
Yoga empowers and is the perfect time to begin yoga in Tweenage years. A regular yoga practice will help your Tween to learn techniques to control the mind and the body to walk confidently through their teen years.

Studio owner Eva Paterson recently attended an Iyengar training weekend with renowned instructor Ali Dashti. Ali trained with BKS Iyengar for many years and is featured in multiple Iyengar published books. He is also an author in his own right.
The training focussed on alignment (as always!), using tools and props to ensure students know what we mean. The teachers only day featured extensive work on the groins and hips. This will quickly become incorporated into classes and will most likely feature at this years Lendrick Lodge retreat in June.
