Life can be at times sad, depressing, anxiety raising and difficult to manage comfortably. As a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) I offer a safe, accepting and confidential space to support young people and adults to explore and overcome their difficulties and achieve their goals.

CBT has been shown to be effective across the range of anxiety problems (Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder or Attacks, Post-Traumatic Stress, OCD, phobias), depression, past trauma, low self-esteem, addictions, Seasonal Affective Disorder, weight issues, grief, anger and relationship problems among others. CBT can help us learn new ways to understand and think about ourselves and others, which in turn can help us feel and act differently, equipping us with well researched tools to help tackle life’s problems even long after therapy has ended.

I have 10 years’ experience of working in health and social care and I am a member of BABCP, the lead organisation for CBT professionals and a counsellor member of COSCA, the national professional association for counselling in Scotland.
