Kat has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. She starts most days at home on her mat going through the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga sequence(s). This is her asana yoga practice which she complements with a yin asana yoga practice also. Ashtanga Yoga means eight limbs of yoga. Eight ‘limbs’ or steps that can lead people to liberation. Kat has a strict daily practice of each these steps, with awareness. “My yoga practice is now for me a moving meditation on and off the yoga mat and I am grateful to all teachers who have helped me along the way. My main yoga teachers are Sarah Hatcher who resides in Edinburgh and Dena Kingsberg in Australia. In classes and workshops, I weave in knowledge learned from my dedicated self-practice, students, as well as information picked up from intensives and workshops with great teachers such as Dena Kingsberg, Sarah Hatcher, John Scott, David Swenson, Matthew Sweeney, David Williams, Chuck Miller, Maty Ezraty, Danny Paradise, Kino Macgregor, David Keil, Shiva Rae, Leslie Kaminoff, Donna Farhi.
I am also an Integrative Health Coach. I guide and support people to transform their lives by looking at their wellness as a whole. We work together to reach goals and within timelines. I love teaching yoga, running workshops and well-being retreats and I love health coaching. Put all together and it makes for many happy people.”
